The 781th Urs Hazrat Baba Farid uddin Masood Ganj Shakar (RA) will be observed from Monday, 14th July 2023, to Monday, 29th July 2023, at the Shrine of Baba Farid (RA) in Pakpattan, Punjab, Pakistan. This sacred event commemorates the 12th-century Sufi saint of the Chishti Order, who was the successor of Hazrat Khawaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki (RA).

Hazrat Baba Farid (RA), also known as Baba Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shakar, was born in 1179 CE in Kothiwal, India. He hailed from a noble family but renounced his worldly possessions at a young age to pursue a life of spirituality and devotion to God. He traveled extensively, seeking knowledge from various spiritual teachers, and eventually became a prominent disciple of Hazrat Khawaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki (RA) in Delhi.

Baba Farid (RA) was deeply influenced by the teachings of Hazrat Khawaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki (RA) and became an epitome of love, compassion, and humility.
